Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was locating a keyboard within her loft and being amazed by its sound. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music not to get the purpose of a career or as hobby but to develop. Thus, she began making her own lyrics. Her inspirations include famous writers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her love of Bjork's style. Her mother had told her that her songs can assist her in gaining not only fame but also help other people realize their significance on the planet and realise what can be done with her songs, she opted to begin performing publicly. Her first piano lesson was when she was just 6 years old and began writing music at the age of nine. She didn't tell her family about her musical journey until she was 14. Aurora was not a goal. The actress claims that she likes writing songs. Music is for her the most effective way to experience anything.
